Thank you for letting me introduce myself.  My name is Ming and I am a Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist currently in private practice in San Rafael and Novato, CA.  

 

In 1978, I received my Doctoral Degree in Western medicine from Shanghai Medical School in China.   Shortly thereafter, I began a 9 year career as a Staff Surgeon at the Shanghai General Hospital.

 

My education in China included a comprehensive study of Acupuncture, Herbology and Acupressure.  In combination with modern Western Medicine, my education provided a broad and balanced foundation from which to understand and treat disease and illness from a preventive as well as a symptomatic perspective.  Western Medicine emphasizes the importance of immediate intervention as in the cases of cancer and accidental trauma in contrast to Chinese Medicine which may require a few sessions to balance the 'chi' or strengthen the cause of the ailment.

 

In 1987, I imigrated to America and have made California my home.  During the past years, I have administered  Acupuncture and herbs successsfully to patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, hyperanxiety, depression, arthritis, sciatica, obesity, substance abuse/addiction and other internal and external imbalances.
